ACTIVITIES
The IABC organizes regular meetings such as breakfast briefings, business luncheons and dinners. These meetings are usually well attended. Prominent and VIP speakers are invited to address the membership and brief them on issues which are relevant to doing business in Indonesia.
The IABC also organizes seminars and business conferences. These events have always been well attended, including by members of our sister organisation in Australia. The IABC has always enjoyed support from the Governments of Indonesia and Australia, evidenced from the high level of Ministerial participation. This is further evidenced by the Joint Statement of the Australia-Indonesian Ministerial Forum (AIMF) in 2005, which stated the instrumental role the IABC plays in further enchancing the bilateral relationship.
Since 2000, the IABC has introduced a monthly networking program, the IABC Members Gathering. This program has been very successful and attendance is growing, with an average attendance of over 200 people at each event.
In total, the IABC organizes between 25 – 30 functions a year with total attendance of over 4,000 people. This has made the IABC one of the most active business organisations in Indonesia.
The IABC also publishes its own monthly newsletter and the bi-annual Membership Directory. The newsletter and directory are free of charge and widely circulated to members and other chambers of commerce or business organizations in Indonesia, Australia and throughout Asia.
