We were thrilled to co-host a members-exclusive networking event in partnership with the Government of South Australia to welcome the South Australian Minister for Trade and Investment, The Hon Joe Szakacs MP, in Jakarta on Wednesday 19 November.
Minister Szakacs visited Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore last week to strengthen South Australia’s trade, investment, and diplomatic relationships across Southeast Asia. Through targeted meetings with government officials, investors, South Australian businesses operating in Southeast Asia, he focused on priority sectors, including critical technologies, advanced manufacturing, renewable energy, and international education, promoting South Australia’s capabilities and fostering strategic partnerships. In Indonesia, the visit centered specifically around agrifood trade and international education.
The gathering provided a valuable platform for our members to engage directly with Minister Szakacs and his South Australian delegation on key areas of economic collaboration between South Australia and Indonesia.
